TUFLOW_to_GIS Build 2009-10-AC is now available from http://www.tuflow.com/Downloads_Utilities.htm and includes the following enhancements from the previous release 2008-04-AB:
1. Increased limit on number of output times from 10,000 to 100,000. 2. Now recognises times greater than 999 when naming the output files (would previously insert *** in the filename). 3. Vector .dat files (eg. _V.dat) when using the -mif option (without -arrow) outputs points as arrows in the direction of flow. The angle of the flow direction has been added as a second attribute allowing scaling and orientation of arrows in ArcGIS. The arrow points can also be scaled using the -vmax option (eg. -vmax10 will scale points up to a magnitude of 10 with a maximum point font size of 48). For _V.dat files the arrow points are by default scaled based on a maximum velocity of 10m/s (use -vmax-1 to suppress the scaling). 4. Reinstated ArcGIS friendly arrow tails - see new -ttf option in help when you double click on TUFLOW_to_GIS.exe. 5. Added in -sec option to view times in seconds, rather than hours. 6. Fixed precision "bug" that occassionally didn't assign a value when a -grid point fell exactly on a triangle perimeter noting that a 2D cell is treated as four triangles with a common vertex in the cell centre. New method may give very slightly different values. 7. Removed need to enter -99 when finished entering times (just need to hit Enter now). 8. g___ extension in filenames now works for cell sizes less than 1m and for fractions of a metre. 9. Times displayed on screen are now adjusted for decimal places according to the size of the output time interval. 10. Recognises _Times.dat file and uses tfd___ for Time of First Depth exceedance and dur___ for Duration of inundation extensions in output filenames. 11. Now checks for a file "Projection.mif" as an alternative to "Header.mif". If both exist Header.mif is used. TUFLOW Build 2009-07-AD onwards automatically outputs a Projection.mif in the results folder so there should be no need to create your own Header.mif if using TUFLOW Build 2009-07-AD or later. 12. New -cd<depth> option to change the cutoff depth used for water level and depth output of -mif points. The default is 0.01m (as per previous builds). This value should probably be deeper than than the wet/dry depth. <depth> is in metres. 13. Attribute name for -mif output now based on data type (eg. "Z0"). If you have downloaded TUFLOW_to_GIS Build 2009-10-AB, please replace with 2009-10-AC (link below) as a gremlin was found in the -asc output for vector datasets (V and q). (FYI, the previous post has been edited to change AB to AC.)
