  1. Hi, I am running two 1D/2D models with one difference in tgc file. Everything is the same only one of them has the latest surveyed data for a portion of the model. So I am adding this layer just after the main zpts layer. This is very easy and straight forward. However, when I import the check files for the zpt layer that TUFLOW generates, one of the check files shows the bed levels from 1D component which is what I am expecting to see (Red line in attached graph) but the other one doesn't show the levels from 1D component. I have also checked the results and the water depth shows both models are using the 1D component as the bed level. This means only one of the check file isn't showing the 1D levels. Has anyone faced such a problem before? How could this happen? Thanks Parshin
  2. Hi Scott, I am not sure how did you copy the TUFLOW model, but I have used a simple batch file to copy them and it was successful. The model copying can be started using a -c switch. For example your batch file should look something like this: " C:\TUFLOW\Releases\2011-09\w64\TUFLOW_iSP_w64.exe" -c "C:\TUFLOW_SWC\SW_3000_10_T109.tcf" Please make sure you are specifying the full path to the .tcf (not relative path) in the batch file.   3. Hi again, I guess I have found the issue. It is the Initial Water Level. It seems IWL ignores the 2d_zln levees. Is there any way to make TUFLOW to read the 2d_zln prior to spreading IWL into the DEM? Regards, Parshin
  4. Hi Mick, After i post the topic, I have realized the attachment didn't work, but there was no option to re-attach it again after posting the topic. Anyway, thanks for your comment. I have checked it and there is a grid that an inflow point is in it and the levee alignment is just touching the boundary of this grid too. I will slightly change the levee alignment and run it again to see how it goes. Thank you Parshin
  5. Hi, I am running a 2D model (no 1D component)and I have faced an unsual issue. The model is a 20m grid size and there are some zln levees in this model with a constant elevation much higher than the DEM (glass wall). However, when I run the model somehow water escapes under two levees (please see attachment). I have checked the "*_grd_check.tab" to ensure the levee doesn't cross at the intersection of two girds. Has anyone faced an issue similar to this before? Is there any way around it? Regards Parshin

  7. Hi Phillip, Thanks for your reply. I would love to participate in benchmarking process, but I doubt that I have suitable experience for benchmarking process. Although I am consider myself as an experience hydraulic engineer, I am a beginner in terms of TUFLOW modelling. Best Regards, Parshin
  8. Hi, It came to my attention that the computer specification required to run TUFLOW 64-bit has not been updated in TUFLOW Forum since 2007. Considering the last recommendation by TUFLOW Forum Admin was issued 5 years, I appreciate to know what is the latest recommended computer specification required to run TUFLOW 64-bit as well as recommended computer specification for the post processing software such as Vertical Mapper.   9. Hi phillip, I'll try adding 3GB boot switch, but I have fixed the issue by reducing Grid Size (X,Y) from (23300, 16000) to (20300, 16000). This is still covering the modelling boundary. I should mention this was suggested by my supervisor. Thaks anyway, Best Regards, Parshin

The PC has 3.25 GB of RAM and available is approx. 2.4 GB. Do you think that 30 Mb increase in requested memory could cause this? I have tested other model just now and they run through smoothly. This model has not been changed at all. Actually, I was trying to do a test re-run of the old model, to make sure it's working, but this error came up.
  11. Hi Diane / Ryan, I have the same issue runing 2010-10-AC and 2010-10-AF versions (32bit). I have tried Ryan's suggestion (running after rebooting the system with no other application running) and still doesn't work. Diane have you managed to fix this error? Ryan I have used this PC several time before to run TUFLOW and never had this issue. The current run is re-runing an old model which someone else has made 2 years ago. Is there any chance this error is related to the way the tcf file has been set up? Regards, Parshin

  15. Since I have installed the new WIBU Codemeter (metal) dongle, anytime I restart the PC, Operation System cannot be loaded until I physically detach the dongle from the PC and reboot the PC again. Is there anyway to resolve this issue?
