Importing normal TUFLOW project into XP-SWMM 2D

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm wondering if it is possible to create a 2D flood model using the normal Mapinfo / TUFLOW approach, run the model, and then later import that model for further development / interrogation in XP-SWMM? I know that this can be done to some extent layer by layer, but does this preserve all of the attributes in the TUFLOW model files? Also, I imagine that any 1D elements can't be transferred between the two programs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Daniel

xpswmm 2D does not have a direct import of TUFLOW models. However, xpswmm can import GIS files (TUFLOW input) to the layers in xpswmm to create Integrated 1D/2D models. Specific 1D elements can be imported from GIS files and also from databases such as a personal geodatabase or .dbf files or other commercial grade databases.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any further queries.

Kind regards

Jessica
